This weekend my mom and I stopped by the Broadmoor for lunch to celebrate my birthday and it was finally warm enough for me to wear my Original Jacks! I have missed out on buying a lot of the items at the top of my wishlist….
And then I found them later secondhand! There are only a handful of pieces that I have not been able to find (yet!) If you are hoping to level up your wardrobe to include more pieces that you truly love but don’t have the funds to buy those items direct from the store, do not give up! I found this dress and jacket set on the real real for over 50% off of retail and these shoes were about 70% off second hand but never worn. Narrow down a list of items that you want and search occasionally - the resale market is still very saturated and with some patience you’ll start to acquire the items you’ll keep long-term. Wear what you love - don’t settle.

When I bought this coat (in an epic clearance sale) it was the fanciest, most expensive thing I had ever purchased. (Since then I had a wedding and bought a house, so those really outdid this coat) but at the time it was WILD to buy something so cool and $$$. I will most certainly keep it for the rest of my life. It’s truly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen - so of course I had to collect the dress and boots too.

Anyhow - this coat is a perfect representation of what I aim to promote as a fashion creator: buy the thing you love, buy it once and enjoy it forever. Don’t settle. Sure you may size out of things, or use them to the point of no repair, but why buy a placeholder version when you could get as close as possible to the real deal. If you love it - search sales, second hand and hope for the one that you’ll love every day for the rest of time.

You know what’s better than embroidery? MORE embroidery. In all seriousness, I love a fabric with texture and detail that truly feels unique which is why I so often go for embroidered and beaded pieces. I love a pattern print- but a 3D texture is often even cooler. My Little One wholeheartedly agrees, BTW. A book is cool- but a book with textures to touch is even better. Haha

This sweater was love at first sight. The color. The stripes. The little fringe detail….I had to have it. It’s one of these statement pieces that seemingly goes with absolutely everything, as well. It comes in navy also - and I’m legit tempted. I’m loving this color green for 2026, though, so it won out. Fit is oversized and suuuuper comfy.

If I had to pick my favorite season it would absolutely be RESORT! Okay, so it’s a clothing season and not a weather season- fine, be more specific with your questioning next time 😉 . But truly, if I could only wear one type of clothing again it would be beach-ready resort pieces. Too bad I live in a land-locked state. lol

I 100% got infuenced to buy this skirt. I saw it early on in the season on the Ann Taylor show website and LOVED it but moved on because it seemed like it was selling out before I could make it to try it on in person. Then I saw so many cool people style it so many cool ways that I felt the ultimate FOMO. By then it was totally sold out… but I NEVER accept defeat and found it on super sale just a couple of weeks later. When it comes to clothing - never give up. You’ll find it. That goes for love and happiness and stuff too. You deserve great things. ☺️
