Love this blouson @uniqloau which I have in black as well - I couldn’t help myself - is what I’ve been wearing on repeat . Love the laid back vibe, the casual edge and the idea of a shorter jacket feels so right at the moment.

A check blazer ! You want sharp shoulders or at least wide shoulders and serious tailoring.
It can be a more boxy shape too, and it should be long. A short check blazer is also chic ( a la Chanel !) so if you see one grab it.

Look for a mix of brown, camel and black ( maybe a bit of blue) in the check with a white back ground. That means it will be totally versatile and go back with most pieces in your wardrobe.

Chic, stretchy and the best cut ever (!) these Define high rise, wide leg pants work across the board . One minute fabulous for going out with strappy heels and a white T-shirt @lululemonausnz
The next minute so right with sneakers and the matching oversized jacket .

How nice is it to get back into wearing blazers after a winter of big oversized coats ?

Loving barrel jeans & sharp shoulder blazers at the moment !

A grey blazer like this (last season @cosstores_au ) is what I reach for when I want a change from all my neutrals. As chic as a camel blazer and as versatile as a black blazer, ( but not !)
A white rib tank is perfect under a blazer:
It freshens up the grey for spring : You want a higher neckline and it should be neat but not too clingy.

Grey is going to be huge next winter with lots of choc brown . Invest early get seasons of wear.

Default to white jeans …under everything:  They’re the best !
 They’re the core of every day style.
The foundation of your wardrobe. The great thing about white jeans is that they are as casual as blue jeans but just a little bit more jooshier. When blue denim looks too laid back , white jeans look more dressed up and polished. You need them in your life !
 So many women think they can’t wear white jeans. Shut the front door, it’s time to start. They actually look good on any size or shape.  
In terms of which style: know your strengths and weaknesses but keep one thing in mind: Loose jeans are much cooler, easier to carry off than tight jeans. Every single time.
Remember don’t compromise looking modern by trying to look slim. You’ll end up looking neither.
Baggy is cool, baggy is chic, baggy is comfortable!

Tip: I am not a fan of spending a lot of money on denim : why would you when all the major high street brands like Zara, H&M, Mango and Uniqlo get it so right at great prices. ( they spend a fortune getting the fit right because ….they can). I would rather spend my hard earned cash on a fabulous designer bag or on expensive jacket.
