I love love love their day/night creams. Again, I’m not an expert on mature skin, but I think hydration, calming, and gentle are what you’re going for! The rose and hyaluronic acid hydration moisturizer is so dreamy. I feel like it instantly hydrates your skin without being sticky. #freshbeauty

Three pumps of the @patternbeauty Curl Mousse keeps my curls shape and a lot of frizz to a minimum. These two products are the only post shower products I use until my hair is fully dry. I’m not sure if the Palo Santo scent is limited or not, but it smells incredible. Yes, I know there is hair here.

Bringing you a mid week dose of reality and what dinner in my house looks like most nights. I really struggle with meal prep, mainly because I don’t love leftovers. I also don’t like not having options or being stuck to a meal plan I thought of four days ago that no longer appeals.

Throwing together a quick and healthy meal like this without much thought or stress isn’t early from the jump. Three years ago I would have never even thought to make dinner like this when it had been a long day. And if I didn’t have a dinner plan? Takeout was always going to be the answer.

Making healthy choices on a regular basis has been a long time coming, and it is going to take even more time to solidify for good.

Just here to encourage you to keep choosing yourself. One day at a time. Even when it’s hard, uncomfortable, or takes more effort than you’re used to. It does get easier. It does become habit. You can make changes and stick to them.

I thought my wrists and rings wouldn’t get any smaller, but stuff doesn’t fit.

If you’re on a weight loss journey, don’t invest in high end jewelry. But I still need some “frosting” so this jewelry fits the bill. For being inexpensive, it holds up great. Thanks for coming along! I debated sharing this journey at all because I knew it wasn’t going to be an overnight project. I didn’t want to be stuck to a timeline or feel rushed through the process.

I really thought about what I know about myself and how I’d be able to succeed in an undertaking like this. For me, that meant small, bite-sized sections I could actually live through. I didn’t want to give up my kitchen for an undefined amount of time that would ultimately double regardless. I knew I’d learn a few things along the way that would make the end result even better.

And I wanted to feel joy through it all. Which meant taking it easy and not stressing about perfection or a daily online update. This is the reality of DIY when you’re fitting it into your regular life. It’s slow. Small. And oh so satisfying.

Somewhere along my weight loss journey, I slipped back into hiding. It’s wild how that happens… how even the “good” attention can make you hyper-aware, how people’s unsolicited (and sometimes angry) opinions about your changing body can make you start picking yourself apart all over again.

Confidence doesn’t magically appear when the number changes. You have to choose it. Every. Single. Day. Sometimes that looks like wearing the thing that still scares you and reminding yourself you deserve to take up space in it.
