This is my secret formula for antique hardware restoration.

If you need to remove paint first, I give everything a hefty coat of the Smart Strip paint remover. (Tip: wrap it in plastic wrap and let it sit overnight to work even better.)

Clean with soft bristle brush and water.

Shine with Brasso & paper towels!

And voilà!! I don’t mind imperfections after shining the metal, I think it gives it more character. 😉

This is the easiest kitchen upgrade you can make! Update your dishwasher by adding a magnetic curtain rod and cafe curtains to disguise an ugly or outdated appliance.

I used 30” curtains and a rod that matches the color of my cabinet door handles.

If your cafe curtain is too long just use iron on hem tape to shorten it to your desired height.
