I LOVE Betty Boop!!!

For the past 36 hours I’ve had a whirlwind trip to Manhattan and I had the pleasure of attending the Broadway Show “Boop! The Musical” at the Broadhurst Theatre👏

The show was phenomenal and @jasmine_amy_r was the absolute embodiment of Betty Boop and her performance brought the audience to a standing ovation mid show! What an amazing moment to witness from our fabulous orchestra seats!🌟 What an incredible send off to her first “Tony’s Awards” attendance last night.

Truly thrilled to have been able to get to see this show that just started in April. It has been a minute since I have attended a Broadway show and “Boop! The Musical’ was just perfect!

The Shock & Disbelief were Real!!!

Let this be a reminder that the scale can be a lier and not reflective of all the hard work and effort you are putting in when you are on a weightloss and health improvement journey. This is where the facts show up! In store… in bright lights… that are often unflattering.

Truthfully, I thought I was being silly trying on a “medium” dress in this store but in actuality it was still too big in the top and I had to go to a “small”🤔 Clearly, the math doesn’t make any sense but when I say I am really a size 6 it’s just that I have Lipedema that throws that all off isn’t too far fetched!

Ladies, when you are in a changing body that is dropping volume, please be sure to take in 3 sizes with you. The one you think you are and then the two below that. You will be amazed at what actually fits and will serve you better over the long run as you shift further in your journey.👏

Spoiler alert: This lilac is NOT my color. I bought it anyway in both a Small & Medium to show my husband. He was thrown off by the color not being right plus thought the small was the perfect size cause it fit on top without needing altering. I returned them both even though I thought it would be such a springy/summer color vibe for my bestie’s daughter’s wedding in NY in June cause on me, the color wasn’t quite right. But, wow, what a magical moment this was.💜

TWO WEEKS and counting!!!

YIKES! My son is graduating High School on May 31st and I need a dress!👗 If you know me, you know I like a matchy matchy moment. The school colors are Blue and Gold so I am looking for a summery feel with a blue theme.

This very feminine toile dress with sleeves or off the shoulder positioning is SO beautifully made.
Fully lined however this dress has no pockets. The length is wonderful and it falls beautifully from the smocked top. I would note that you can consider sizing down as there is ample fabric in the bottom. I am wearing a size Small for reference.
