Warning: This petite hack will change your life — save time and money! If you’ve ever avoided trousers because they’re too long — and you can’t sew or don’t want to pay extra for tailoring — did you know plissé fabric doesn’t fray? That means no sewing machine, no overlocker, not even hemming tape. Just measure, cut, and go! And the best bit? There are so many great plissé options on the market right now — including these leopard print beauties. 🐆 Here’s how to alter them: 1. Pop your trousers on and make sure they’re sitting properly on your waist. 2. Put on the shoes you’re likely to wear with them (this really affects the final length!). 3. I wanted mine to skim the floor, so I pinned them up bit by bit until I found the perfect length — while standing (not bending over!). 4. Don’t forget to check both legs — we’re often not totally symmetrical! 5. Mine needed a 2-inch trim, so I pinned the front and back together to hold them in place, marked 2 inches up from the hem, and cut. 6. Use sharp fabric scissors and the full blade for a smooth, clean cut. 7. Repeat on the other leg, measuring again for accuracy. and that’s it - easy plisee (get it?)! These trousers had a raw hem already, so we’re just copying the original finish — no one will ever know they were altered. Your fellow petite, Danielle LTKstyletip LTKpetite LTKuk
