POV: DITL- I think my happy place starts right in front of the coffee pot because that first quiet moment where the world hasn’t quite started yet. It leads me to prayer, which is where my heart always finds its peace.

Then it’s off to Learning Land, my home away from home and the best place to keep my mind and heart busy while I’m missing my favorite people and my favorite place. Today was filled with small things that filled my heart: passing out more books, giving teachers the gift of time, hanging out at recess, cleaning up my room, even saying goodbye to the big old chairs. And when the day wrapped up, I came home to my other happy place! HOME- but the house is quiet.

I realized today that maybe my happy place isn’t a place at all… maybe it’s my heart because for the first time in a long time, I think my heart is in a really happy place!! 🙌🏼♥️
