Today, I choose to speak strength, courage, and victory over my life—loud and unapologetic.

There were voices that tried to write a different story for me. Assumptions were made about my recovery… timelines stretched out… limits placed on me that didn’t belong to me. But here’s the truth—they were speaking from their perspective, not my reality.

This is for anyone who’s ever had someone doubt their comeback.

I’ve taken care of my body. I’ve shown up for myself. I’ve done the work long before this moment ever came—and because of that, my healing doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

Let’s be clear: just because something was hard for someone else doesn’t mean it’s impossible for me.

So if you’re listening—protect your mindset like it’s your paycheck. Not everybody gets a say in your story. Especially not people who lack the discipline, experience, or drive to understand your journey.

Watch me heal.
Watch me rise.

Sometimes the greatest direction in life comes when you finally get quiet enough to hear it. 🙌

Today I’m sitting back, riding passenger in Ruby, head bobbing to my new favorite song of the season, “Lost & Found.” And it hit me… this right here is my healing season.

Not rushing.
Not forcing.
Just trusting the direction God is giving me and moving with peace.

If you’re in a season of rebuilding, restoring, or rediscovering yourself, let this be your reminder: sometimes being “lost” is exactly how God leads you to what’s meant for you.

Here’s my story. I’m 50 years old and had been battling arthritis in my hip along with degenerative bursitis. A hip replacement was the last thing I wanted, and I fought it for as long as I could. But eventually, I had no choice but to face it. Outside of this injury, I’m healthy and strong.

Before making the decision, I tried everything—physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and even cortisone shots. Those treatments helped for a while, but they were only temporary solutions. At some point, I realized it was time to bet on myself and do what was necessary to truly heal.

Today, I’m healing well and even got outside to enjoy the world again this weekend. I’ve graduated from Tammy the walker to Tamika the cane, and that alone feels like a victory.

One thing about me—I’m a fighter. Life may knock me down, but it will never keep me there. I truly believe I’m going to come back stronger than before, and I’m grateful I listened to God and trusted the process.

Day 11 post-op and today felt like a little piece of normal life again. I got to spend the day outside, celebrated Abby’s 21st birthday, and see some good friends. Grateful for every step of progress and every moment that reminds me healing is happening. One day at a time. 💛

🚨 10 Days Post-Op and Back in Action! 🚨

Listen… recovery isn’t pretty every day, but today? We’re winning.

Ten days after surgery and I’m up, moving, showered, dressed, and feeling like myself again. And yes… I’m still cute while doing it. 💁🏽‍♀️

Sometimes the smallest victories are actually the biggest milestones. Getting up, putting on real clothes, and taking care of yourself again is a reminder that healing is happening and strength is returning.

Progress may be slow, but progress is still progress. And today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
