We’ve been Chanel clients since 1985 — our closets are full of Lagerfeld classics, and we even loved Virginie Viard’s understated, wearable designs. But this Spring/Summer 2026 collection under Matthieu Blazy felt different. Beautiful, yes — but more like a work in progress than a wardrobe I could see myself in. For the first time ever, I couldn’t circle a single look to pre-order. The pieces seemed too delicate to travel with, the iconic camellias were gone, and even the 2.55 bag was intentionally distressed — not my style. This season, I’m sitting it out, but still cheering Chanel on from the sidelines. 🖤
