I really can’t stand out cute he is! Yes he’s my baby, but he is objectively adorable.
We have worn Cadets shorts for years and I keep them in a handful of basic colors for the boys to choose from each day. Now, they have launched a large collection including this polo, vests and adjustable length pants! The quality is impressive and the styles are cute.
I like to make sure the boys have things they can choose to dress themselves and be comfortable and Boots chose his own look here.

I held out as long as I could on the clear bag purchase but lately it feels like every stadium is requiring them. I found this bag that resembles a longchamp style and I really like how your wallet can direct the look and feel of this product. For me, I dropped my Goyard wallet inside, which made for a fun look.

In Texas, the men and boys wear Guayabera shirts for any special occasion. From weddings to dinners and birthday parties - if they have to dress up, both the men and the boys grab these shirts. In the city, we wear them with khaki shorts and in the fall or on the ranch, we wear them with jeans.
My boys have grown out of their shirts so I just replaced them with these two options. We have had these exact pieces in the past and I’m buying them again because they worked very well for us and our lifestyle.

Maybe the most flattering denim I own. I got this look at Cettire - which I always use because they have current season on discount. No idea how this business works but they have so much of what I buy and at less than retail.

A family birthday ☺️

I wish I had taken more pics for you but we rolled right into our party from church and I just didn’t remember to document- ugh! It was good. You can see peeks in the pics. ❤️

I do love throwing parties but this was a learning experience for me - new town, new vendors, new space.

I chose the navy theme because it was gender- neutral, I love blue, and it worked well with our home.
I ordered this dress this summer and Mmmmm it had never worn it/ it was perfect for a family pool party. (It takes weeks for delivery so order before you think you need it).
Otherwise this was all super easy and last-minute (aka easily replicable which is my goal for you).

Fair day!
The Texas State Fair really is “worth it.”
Bizzy and Bootses birthdays are right now so we decided to do a family “yes day” at the state fair in lieu of birthday parties. We made memories and had such a fun day together. I didn’t get a ton of pics but here are some cute ones 😁

NOTES:
- You can get a discounted ticket in coordination with McDonalds (see fair site for details)
- there are basically no bags allowed (unless you literally have diapers or bottles) so put things in your pockets and get a tote / sack inside
- the midway (gimmick games) are the most expensive so if you want to stay on a budget I would recommend NOT walking down that alleyway. We walked left at the entrance and could have stayed on the periphery and avoided some unnecessary expenses.
- Get there when it opens and plan to stay all day. Tons to do and see! We barely scratched the surface!

Sharing my planning process for Bizzy and Boots birthday party this weekend.
Their birthdays are only a few days apart so we typically combine in some way and this year we are doing an easy, low lift family party at our house.
I made the invite on Canva and texted it out and then had cups and napkins made to match. We stuck with the gender neutral blue theme and added the terracotta candles to tie in with the Spanish Colonial style of our home.
The little blue poofs will be table decor and the rest is pretty simple. I am only decorating our loggia so it’s a confined party space where I can do a takeover without taking over the whole house and making decor feel too sparse.

Big win! Bizzy got this adorable bike for her 7th birthday - comes with the basket and stickers to decorate!
I like how it’s a simple, timeless style - no kiddy stickers or silly design.
I ordered it online and then had someone come build it (Task Rabbit) - all in still cheaper than most things on the market. So far happy with it!
The third slide is what I had ChatGPT make her since it wasn’t here yet on her birthday morning. Just dropped the actual image of the bike in and asked it to create an image telling her it’s coming. Fun!

The bomber. The skirt romper… Abercrombie is on a roll this month and I’m here for it. This is an easy throw on for school drop, meetings, errands…casual, cool and most of all comfortable.
The romper is an XS but runs short through the torso (on me) so wish I had sized up one.
