Favorite barrel jeans that are midsection and petite friendly!

DARK WASH: wearing 25 Regular. Comfortable fit at the waist with a tad bit of room. I tried on the petite length and it’s actually too short. Rigid yet still comfortable. It holds its shape well and elongates the frame. Easy to dress up or down. Color ‘Rinse Dark Wash’.

MEDIUM WASH: wearing a 25 Petite. Cotton denim with zero stretch, but it’s still soft and very comfortable! Fits well at the waist with a tad bit of room. Color ‘Dobbins Wash’.

Both have a barrel shape, but not too wide.

For size reference, I’m 5 ft 115 pounds with a postpartum tummy. My TTS is usually a 26, but I sized down to a 25 in both and both fit comfortably with a tad bit of room at the waist.

My favorite midsection and petite friendly straight leg jeans!

1. QUINCE BELLA jeans: Stretchy but does not lose shape. VERY COMFORTABLE for midsection/postpartum tummy! Flattering wide/straight leg shape. I’m wearing 26x28, color ‘Frosted Blue’.

2. LEVI’S 501 ‘90S ANKLE jeans: a relaxed straight leg shape. Mid-rise and non-stretch (yet still comfortable). This style and cut looks great even when sized up which is what I did. With my postpartum tummy, I can do 26 but sized up to a size 27. I’m wearing 27x27, color ‘Sweetest Taboo - Medium Wash’.

3. LEVI’S WEDGIE STRAIGHT ANKLE jeans: a classic straight leg that’s not too wide and not too tight/skinny. A great length for fall boots. This style and cut looks great even when sized up which is what I did. With my postpartum tummy, I can do 26 but sized up to a size 27. I’m wearing 27x26, color ‘Indifferent Indigo - Dark Wash.’

4. GAP HIGH RISE ‘90s SLIM STRAIGHT jeans: a cut that’s between skinny and straight. Not too tight/skinny, but rather a slim straight. Surprisingly flattering and I find that this particular length looks great with flats! I’m wearing 27 Petite, color ‘Dark Indigo.’

*For size reference, I’m 5 ft 115 pounds, postpartum tummy. My TTS is usually 26 and I stayed TTS in the Quince and sized up in the Levi’s and Gap which I find much more comfortable.

1. FIRE BLANKETS: these fire blankets are easy to deploy, lightweight, and do not require messy clean-up. Please get this and put this in your kitchen. If you have little ones who are old enough, please teach them how to respond quickly, open properly and safely use these fire blankets for when you're not home.

2. FIRE ESCAPE LADDERS: Just in case you sleep on an upper floor. For peace of mind, this is a fire escape ladder. It comes fully assembled and attaches onto a window without the need of tools.

3. BED SHEETS + ALL BEDDINGS: it’s under the Giza collection. These are exceptionally soft, breathable and cooling. Feels like 5-star hotel luxury.

Did you notice the twist front panel detailing? 😍 It’s so hard to find jeans that are classic yet unique *and* fit my body. Love these jeans! Super flattering, elongating and works well on petite frames. Definitely will be the most worn pair this year!

For size reference, I’m 5 ft 110 pounds and my usual denim size is 26. I sized up to size 27 in these jeans. After washing and drying, they fit perfectly and comfortably when sitting. I’d recommend taking your usual size and consider sizing up if you have a postpartum tummy/looking for midsection-friendly comfort. Another consideration, I shorten the length by a few inches to fit my petite frame. The design accommodates hemming because it still keeps the relaxed draped look.

One of my favorite sales of the year, the @nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Gorgeous fall pieces (for next season 🍂🍁) on sale till August 3 and prices go up after that. Things that I can’t live without!

1. Eucerin - My face lotion for the last 3 years. I developed so many skin reactions after having my daughter that I ended using this one. $12 for a huge bottle. It moisturizes very well. For me, it's best when it's combined with actives.

2. My actives - Tretinoin Cream 0.025% and Azelaic acid 15%. Speaking of actives, I saw major changes to my skin after layering with these two! Prescription only, so ask your dermatologist if this is right for you. Major improvement with skin texture and uneven skin tone.

3. Primer + eyeliner. The secret to smudge free eye makeup is primer + a great eyeliner. I've tested so many eyeliners and this one outperformed the others. Barely any smudging by the end of the day. Love NARS and Clio.

4. Varley. Another comfort-is-key outfit. Super soft and comfortable for running errands and everyday activities. The sleeves gently cover the upper arms and the shorts have a flattering flare shape.

5. Different days, different needs! Imagine Spanx but in underwear form! Medium compression, breathable fabric. Comfortable everyday tummy support. The opposite of the above. Feels like second skin, incredibly smooth and soft. Does not pinch, you can barely feel them and they barely leave panty lines. Quince underwear (both).

6. A t-shirt dress is a must-have for busy bodies and moms! Super easy to stay comfortable during the summer heat. Midsection and petite-friendly as well! Sézane dress.

7. I have mosquitoes-preferred blood! We've tried so many things to keep the mosquitoes away and this has been one of the most effective!

8. This steam mop will make you love cleaning again! Cleans like a beast! Removes stains, dirt and tough sticky messes with ease. Works on hardwood floors, tiles, and more.

Smudge-free eye makeup.

Primer: NARS. It works! Honestly surprised, because I’ve been living with eye smudge my whole life!

Eye Liner: Stila. Been using it for over 10 years. One of the best at being smudge-free. Now with the primer, it’s so much better! Color Intense Black.

Eye Color: Sephora. I try my best to simplify everything. Just a swipe for color. Color Chocolate Brown.

Lashes: Ardell 421. Very natural looking (without mascara) and extra drama with mascara (using Too Faced Mascara)

A dress that gives small bust a lift and cinches your waist!

Classic elevated shirt dresses!

Gap shirtdress (white one): it’s gorgeous! Refined and elevated! Draped neckline can be worn off shoulder, waist defining pleats, has pockets. I’m wearing an 00. Perfect fit, but I did shorten it by a few inches. Comes in white, beige, and navy.

Anthropologie shirtdresses (striped midi one and black short one): unique design with waist-defining pleats and thoughtful coverage of the upper arms. Very comfortable and comes in many colors and lengths. I’m wearing the XS Petite in both. Perfect fit and length (no alterations needed)

Midsection and petite friendly jeans, Part 2! This time, replacing the zippers with invisible compression waistbands for support and a clean look. The waistband holds and moves with you, so it’s very comfortable when sitting. Sleek in the darker wash and casual in the lighter shade.
