can’t believe it’s already been 12 weeks of loving our Saylor girl 🤯🤍 officially out of the fourth trimester and finally kinda sorta getting the hang of being a new mom !

We DIYed this custom closet in our nursery back in April for under $350 and we still absolutely love the organization it gives us 🙌🏼💞

A full post is finally up on the blog with all the details, materials and step-by-step process in case you want to recreate it yourself! You can also see my story highlight “nursery closet” for some videos too.

Although we did this in our nursery— the same concept is totally applicable to adult closets or much larger closets too ! The key is getting the right size IKEA Pax unit(s) to separate your sections.

I can’t believe it’s been 1️⃣ month of loving our sweet Saylor 🤍

I looked back at her hospital and 1 week old pics today and it’s crazy how much she’s already grown 🥲 We love seeing her funny little personality come out a little more each day — she makes the funniest pout faces 😙 and she pretty much only likes to sleep on her mom + dad 🤪

I go back and forth between wanting to freeze time so she’s this little forever and also wanting to see the little person she is going to grow into 🥺💗

I get asked about this closet a lot and we DO totally love it and it does stay pretty neat like this ! Since these are her nice clothes hanging and she’s in PJ’s 90% of the time at home — we rarely are messing with things in here, at least for now 🙂

✨BABY GIRL’S NURSERY REVEAL✨

It’s finally finished ! 10 days out from her due date and her room is as perfect as I dreamed it would be ☁️💫

It’s been months of planning, painting, custom-closet building 🛠, waiting on furniture deliveries 😮‍💨, and decorating but all of the work has totally paid off.

Her nursery has a subtle, playful enchanted forest / garden theme, with creamy whites, muted pinks, sage green colors — and natural wood, woven and brass/ vintage accents. 🌿

I had ALL the emotions finishing up this project 🥲 A labor of love, and I am so happy to have saved all of the memories we put into this room to be able to look back on this precious time. Some days it can be tough, but I know I will look back at this time carrying her as some of the best moments of my life 🤍

the work on baby girl’s nursery begins NOW 🙃🎀💕

we’ve been waiting to start until a) the basement construction was wrapped up and b) we got a littleee bit closer to her arrival ☺️.

See my stories today for the nursery mood board and starting on the first step — revamping the closet for maximum storage.
Second will be painting and the wall mural in April.
And last will be arranging furniture, decorating and stocking all the baby things!
We’re starting nice and early in March so we have plenty of time to get it perfect before July 💖 the nesting urges are getting real guys !

One of the very first pieces I received for the nursery is this hand-knit @cuddleandkind doll. Each doll is made with natural, premium cotton yarn safety tested for newborns, and I love that for every doll sold @cuddleandkind gives ten meals to children in need around the world 🌎🤍 This sweet baby fawn named Violet goes perfectly with the forest/ garden feel I want for in here, and I know baby girl will love her too 🌸🌿
