Downsizing 💕 I used to always buy the large eyeshadow palettes but was only using a couple of colors in them & the rest would go to waste. As fun as they are, I’ve been downsizing my makeup bag & products to make it easier to travel with & save This @charlottetilbury luxury eyeshadow palette only has 4 colors but I use all 4 & it’s super small to throw in my bag. This is the rose palette but there’s 13 palette options. I want to try the Pillow Talk Palette of Pop next which would be perfect for Spring/Summer & you know how much I love a good golden glow & sparkly things. As well as The Uptown Girl for a glam smoky eye. Playing with some colored contacts at the end. Definitely not a beauty essential but sometimes a girl just wants to have fun.

Color refresh | Time to get my glow back. These are my favorite products for streak-free self tanning. I’ve tried so many self tanners but always come back to @tan_luxe as I try to avoid sunbathing. These bottles are small
enough to travel with & I pop them
in bubble wrap ziplocks so they don’t break! The tanning drops for the face & body & @supergoop Glow Screen SPF 40 for the face are my 3 beauty essentials heading into the Spring. The Charlotte Tilbury highlighter I’m using is sold out but I’ve linked a similar one of hers that’s also cruelty-free.

Downsizing for a night out? The 3 L’s of glam makeup: lashes, lips & liner 💄 What are your glam makeup essentials?

I love a simple glam red lip & black liner even for the day.
1.) Red lips always make me feel more glam. Pro tip: I created this red with blue undertones helps with make teeth look whiter. As well as making it super hydrating & vegan.
2.) A retractable self sharpening lip liner saves on needing to carry a sharpener around.
3.) Magnetic VS glue on lashes? I like both but magnetic are easier to deal with when you’re out & they need adjusting as you don’t need to take glue with you. I also find them less damaging to my real lashes but they do take a little getting used to applying (same as strip lashes do).
4.) Soft gel liner that doesn’t scratch to tight line upper lashes for seamless false lashes. My eyes water a lot so I have a vegan, fragrance free, waterproof one.
5.) Liquid black eyeliner. There’s nothing like a little or lot of wing for a glam look. I like @kvdbeauty vegan Dagger liner as the shape makes it easy to draw on the wing.

I’ve finally got my daily hair care essentials down. It only took 40 years! I’ve tried a lot as my hair was really damaged in my 20s-early 30s from years on the beach, bad dye jobs, super tight buns for on stage & cheap products. These are the ones that keep my naturally curly & frizzy hair the most manageable.
• @livingproofinc zero frizz shampoo & conditioner. Worth the splurge, sulphate free, vegan & safe on hair extensions.
• @olaplex I swear by this stuff! I leave in No. 3 for a good hour while I workout in the morning before washing. I don’t use the shampoo but like the conditioner every other wash & no 6 or 7 (you don’t need both) are must haves, make it easier to style & give heat protection up to 450° so you don’t need a heat protection spray & this.
• @unite_hair 7 seconds leave in condition & detangling spray. If I could only use 1 hair product it’d be this! I’ve been using it since 2014 & it goes everywhere with me.
• @tangleteezer total game changer & under $20 it’s the 1 brush that’ll get knots out of wet hair without ripping your hair out.
• @thedrybar shower cap-makes your blow out last longer by protecting your hair in the shower as it has Terry cloth inside to protect your hair from the steam.
• Dry shampoo - I like tinted powders for root touch up between color & to travel with vs an aerosol. I don’t notice a difference between when I’ve splurged vs drugstore brands for this so save on this 1.

Bathroom clear out complete! Anyone else start their new year by clearing out their bathroom cabinets? I can’t promise it’ll last long but it feels so good so throw out the old stuff & not have clutter everywhere. It made me realize how much I don’t use & get it down to the essentials when it comes to my makeup & skincare. I also organized the top shelf into AM & the bottom for PM skincare to make things easier to find.

Trying out lots of new beauty tools in 2022. I wasn’t using my facial massager or light mask so figured I might use it if it did both at the same time. The Solawave uses red light therapy, heat & massage to help your products absorb better & repair the skin. I’m going to build it into my night time skincare routine which I do in front of the TV as who has time to add more to their routine! It’s also small enough to travel with.

I had a lipstick holder, makeup bag, cotton bud & Q tip holder out before & condensed them all into this pretty 360° rotating makeup holder. I thought it might be a bit big but honestly it’s perfect & now I can still keep everything out but have it organized.

If you’ve been wanting to try the bleached eyebrow trend without actually bleaching your brows grab some concealer, a spoolie, setting powder & setting spray have a play. You can even used a colored mascara over the top of for a fun colorful look. My looks extra white but you can skip that for a more wearable look. Full tutorial on the blog.

I got rid of my foundation brushes after switching to Beauty Blenders years ago. It’s the one constant in my makeup bag that makes such a big difference to the application. I keep 2 on the go: 1 for foundation & 1 for concealer to keep the colors separate.

What are your everyday makeup essentials? I’ve been more conscientious about my buying habits which makes packing a makeup bag to travel so much easier.
1. @supergoop Glow Screen SPF 40 as my primer & SPF in 1. Saves space & $.
2. @charlottetilbury Magic foundation. I have really translucent skin so like decent coverage. I definitely find foundations an item worth spending more on.
3. @tartecosmetics shape tape concealer. I love a really bright face & concealers are worth splurging on as cheaper ones tend to crease.
4. @charlottetilbury mascara. I have fine lashes so need a good mascara but if you’re blessed with great lashes def save vs splurge on this product.
5. @katvond ‘Dagger’ liquid eyeliner. I haven’t found much difference in luxury vs budget brands but use this one as it’s vegan, cruelty-free & has a dagger shape which helps create a winged line.
6. Blush & highlighter, I bounce around on brands for this but am using liquid right now as I find it settles in my creases less & I can apply with my fingers so I can pack a couple less brushes when I travel.
7. Brows - you can totally save vs splurge on this product as long as it’s a good color match.
8. Setting spray-I love @iconic.london Prep Set Glow as it’s super dewy and golden. You can also use it as a primer & to refresh throughout the day.
9. @dawescustomcosmetics (my co.) ‘Bora Bora’ vegan gloss. I find a big difference in brands & think it’s worth spending on more natural brands to avoid a lot of the chemicals in some lip products as they’re closest to our mouths & easiest to ingest.
10. I have to powder as I get super dewy naturally as I find it helps set makeup but if you prefer more of a glow you could totally skip this & just use setting spray.

Because who has time to wash their hair everyday? Budget VS splurge when it comes to dry shampoo? I haven’t found expensive dry shampoos any better than drugstore brands so it’s definitely a save for me. I also hadn’t realized Dove is cruelty free so that’s now my go-to aerosol dry shampoo for all over instead of hairspray (leaves hair softer). Then a tinted brush on dry shampoo at the roots to cover dark roots & to travel with.
