I recently wore this silk skirt to a September party & one of the things I love about it, besides the fact that it’s washable, is that it’s also seasonless. Pair with tights, a sweater, & boots when the weather gets cold & then sandals & a tank when it warms up again

I recently (as in the week before Amelia’s surgery because that’s how my anxiety works 😂) painted Joseph’s room @farrowandball’s Stone Blue & it turned out so good! We painted the trim & doors the same color in high gloss & it made all the difference- the power of paint is incredible! Still working on a rug, curtains, & bedding but I’m really happy with it so far 😊 Fun fact about me: I really love a paint project & while I usually have an idea in my head, I tend to pick the color at the last second (like, at the paint counter) & then just go for it (I never do samples 🤦🏻‍♀️)😂🤷🏻‍♀️

1. I still love this block print quilted jacket I bought on a whim in Charleston last spring.
2. I waited too long to cut my hydrangeas & only got this bouquet… when are you supposed to cut them?
3. It felt so good to get my kitchen put back together after almost a month of having a hole in the ceiling almost the length of the room for a over a month thanks to mold 🤦🏻‍♀️ These cafe curtains are so cute!

We had pictures done with @gloryandgreen last week & I wore this incredible dress by @shoprhode… I usually do coordinating outfits but this time, I didn’t really plan anything except what I wanted to wear (I bought this dress on sale before we had pictures planned because it was such a great price)… just your friendly reminder to take the photos & everything doesn’t need to be perfect!

We just remodeled our main bath on the second floor (for the second time in 4 years 🤦🏻‍♀️) because of a mold issue & it’s finally finished! On the plus side, we used the Carrara marble that we originally wanted in the shower & vanity top & got a vanity with cabinets because #life 😂 Seriously, though- it looks so much cleaner with cabinets 🙌 Also, our mirror is on sale today!

Family photos don’t have to be stressful (well, the planning part, at least!)! The only outfit I planned for this session was my dress. I didn’t try on the dress Amelia had from last holiday season that I thought would work until it was too late & same with trying on pants for Joseph… by then I didn’t have time to get anything new so we worked with what we had! Joe picked his outfit 5 minutes before we left. I took the pressure off of myself for having perfect coordinating outfits & they still turned out great! Tip: try to stick with one print & choose colors that at least work together!
