The fun part about writing a cookbook is you get to see behind the scenes of how books are made. I know so many of you have seen my book in the background of my recent videos but here’s a spoiler— it’s BLANK! This is what they call a dummy copy! It is so I can see and feel and hold my book before it is fully printed. In a few short months I will have the fully printed version and shortly after that my book will be officially published and in your hot little hands!

When I was photographing my cookbook, I had so much extra food—and somehow didn’t even get a bite of this cake. So I sliced it up and froze it thinking “one day I’ll be glad I did this.” And guess what? Today was that day. I needed a slice of cake and this one absolutely hit the spot.
