My basics and essentials we brought with us on our Banff National Park trip!

Here are the staples I had in my hiking pack everyday for our Banff trip! Of course we had snacks and lunch to-go, but these are things I made sure to have with me every day!

Our 4 year old spent half the trip in this awesome kid carrier pack. It comes with a sun shade!

The 35L pack held everything I needed it too and more comfortably!

I recommend having TWO portable phone chargers just in case!
Thankfully we never had to use our 🐻 spray but you won’t want to hike in the Rockies without it.

Hiking poles ended up being a HUGE help for me and for my daughter!

A lightweight water bottle is essential because the less weight the better climbing steep mountains.

Last but not least mosquito spray wipes are very convenient and a first aid kit is a must because accidents do happen out on the trails and you will want to be prepared!

Basics my daughter and husband used each day on our Banff trip!
The Columbia fleece jacket was perfect for chilly mornings ! This isn’t the exact rain jacket my daughter had, but the red color looks great in pictures against the scenery in Banff!
She wore leggings everyday under her shorts to protect her legs and a beanie in the mornings!

These Keen hiking boots held up SO well for her hiking through the Rockies.

My husband’s favorite rain jacket is his one from REI. He loves wearing moisture wicking shirts to stay cool for hiking.
He has a pair of HOKA hiking boots that he swears by. They don’t make the ones he has anymore but these are very close! Having ankle support is a must!
